election of 1984
In this election now incumbent Republican President Ronald Reagan faced Democratic candidate and former Vice President Walter Mondale. Reagan won in a landslide again, with Mondale only winning his home state of Minnesota and the District of Columbia(which has never voted for a Republican). In this election Reagan's win was by the biggest margin in history. He won almost 60% of the popular vote and 98% of the electorate.
